Professional Window Cleaning
Hi, my name is Jonathon Abramowicz, owner of A to Z Window Cleaning LLC. I’ve been proudly serving customers in the greater Des Moines area since 2015. Let me tell you a bit more about my residential window cleaning services.
My Services
Window Cleaning
Through the use of traditional and pure water methods I clean many different types of windows including storm windows, Pella windows with blinds between the panes, and many more.
Screen Cleaning
A clean window screen is almost as important as a clean window. I can clean screens of many different sizes.
Track Cleaning
Some windows have a tendency to collect dirt and other debris in areas other than the glass. Track cleaning can be added to help your windows not only look good but also work properly.
About Me
I grew up north of Des Moines in a small rural community. Now, I own a home in Des Moines with my wife, Aurora. We have five pets, including a crazy husky named Nova. In addition to spending time with family and friends and working on home projects, we also enjoy seeing what our city has to offer for food and activities. We feel the Des Moines metro is the perfect size for our family!
I started cleaning windows in central Iowa in 2015. At the time, I was unsure if it was something that I would do for more than a short time. Today, I can say that I’m very happy to have had the opportunity to learn a skill that feeds my family and brings a feeling of satisfaction to both myself and my customers. Seeing the reaction of homeowners to windows they thought could never be clean again is why I enjoy residential window cleaning! Over the course of my career, I’ve been both taught by those with decades of experience and learned a few things on my own. I cherish the experience that I’ve gained and what I’ve been taught by others. I hope that you can give me the opportunity to use what I’ve learned to give your home the clean windows that you desire.
Pricing
Due to the variety of window styles and layouts, I do not simply state a fixed price. I believe that grouping all window types into one price per window or pane is unfair, both for the client and myself. I am happy to provide a free, no-pressure estimate. This method insures you receive an accurate and fair price the first time.
My Mission
In my opinion, there is nothing worse than paying for something and being unsatisfied with the result. As a homeowner myself, I know it is especially frustrating to feel that way when it comes to home services you hire out. We all lead busy lives, so hiring help is a necessity at times. So paying for something only to have to redo it yourself is simply unacceptable. It’s my goal to excel in the areas that I find to be lacking in the home service industry (clear communication, honesty, respect for you and your property, etc.). Also, my industry is filled with high-pressure or misleading sales tactics. I want to be known for offering the opposite. Simple and clear pricing offered to you so you can make a decision when you are ready. In striving to do all these things I hope to do more than just make a living. I want to build relationships and make lifelong customers in the process. I hope that you can be one of them.
FAQs
Q
Do you provide service in my area?
A
I provide service to Clive, Des Moines, Grimes, Johnston, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, among others. Arrangements could be made to service areas outside the metro, but that will be on a case-by-case basis.
Q
What forms of payment do you accept?
A
Currently, I accept cash or check. Digital payment options will be added soon.
Q
I have old windows. Do you clean those?
A
In most cases, yes, although an in-person estimate is needed to confirm. If I feel that working on an older window poses too much risk to myself or the customer, it will be excluded from the written estimate. I try to use my best judgment and err on the side of caution.
Q
I have had a bad experience with pure water cleaning in the past. Do you clean windows the old fashion way?
A
I’m sorry to hear that. The short answer is yes. Most of my experience comes from cleaning windows the old-fashioned way: with a mop (applicator) and squeegee. However, I also utilize pure water cleaning technology (also called Waterfed) when appropriate. Many in the industry, especially newer window cleaners, see it as a shortcut and neglect to learn when it is appropriate to use. Pure water technology is impressive and useful, yet it falls short in certain situations. Through my experience, I have learned which method—traditional or pure water—is most advantageous to use based on the circumstances.
Q
Do you provide a price per window so I can calculate the amount myself?
A
No. Due to the variety of window styles and layouts, I do not simply state a fixed price. I believe that grouping all window types into one price per window or pane is unfair, both for the client and myself. I am happy to provide a free, no-pressure estimate. This method insures you receive an accurate and fair price the first time.
